About Shufflebottom

Shufflebottom, manufacturer of steel-framed buildings for Agricultural, Equestrian, Horticultural, Leisure, Commercial and Industrial use, became a limited company in May 1986 and we have been growing ever since. We are a family company, headed by Alex Shufflebottom, Wesley Shufflebottom and Alec Davies. We have offices and a factory of 88,000 square feet at Cross Hands in Carmarthenshire, Wales, where almost 100 staff are employed. In addition, 22 teams of sub-contractors prepare sites and construct our buildings all over the United Kingdom, from the north of Scotland to the Channel Islands.

Shufflebottom technical and drawing office will proceed with planning applications, prepare structural calculation for submitting to building control, production of elevation and manufacturing drawings.

Manufacturing developments in 2007 include installation of a new Bystronic flashings hydraulic press to enhance sheet metal processing capacity, and construction of a new loading bay with a protective ‘fall arrest’ system. We have adopted an environmental policy .

Staff training is important to us. We encourage our construction teams to progress along the Construction Industry Training Board qualifications, and are ourselves accredited under the Safe Contractor and CHAS schemes. We also belong to the Constructionline register of UK pre-qualified local and national construction-related suppliers.
